The exhibition series „HERE AND NOW at Museum Ludwig” presents in its eight’s project an anticolonial tour through the museum’s permanent collection. The artists Daniela Ortiz, Paula Baeza Pailamilla, Palima Ayala and Pável Aguilar are taking a gander at artistic points of view from Latin America – critical and curious.
Which Latin American artists are part of the collection? How is the exoticizing view on the global south being replicated from artists of the Classical Modernism (mainly from Europe)? Which artworks need to be analyzed critically? What counter models are there?
