The exhibition „Green Modernism: The New View of Plants” is travelling back in time to the early days of the 20th century to take a look at the viewpoint of the visual arts, its perspective on botany and the general society. In spite of the sobriety and objectivity that is easily associated with the topic of house plants, they do give a deep insight into the contradictions, worries, desires and ideals of the Modernism. The display is a pilot project for sustainable exhibitions at the Museum Ludwig.
